Water Features
Thinking bout adding a water feature to your
yard? It is a great way to add a touch of flair to your landscaping. Below
we will discus some of the common forms of waterscape.
Garden Fountains
Fountains are simple ways to add water to your
garden or landscaping. You can buy fountains from almost any home
improvement store or garden store. The installation is simple. You can
also get creative with tubing and pots and make your own fountain. The
options are endless.
Ponds
Ponds become a little more complex but are
within the realm of the do it yourselfer. Many home improvement stores
will sell kits that will have everything you need for the project. If you
can't find one, a quick search of the internet should produce several. The
project is labor intensive however. You will have to dig a hole for the
pond, install a liner, add rocks, etc. Then you will have to add aquatic
plants and maybe even fish. If it sounds like too much, call a landscaper.
Waterfalls
If just a pond won't do, consider adding a
waterfall. It will add more of a dramatic touch and relaxing sound to your
yard. This is still a project that a competent do it yourselfer can do but
do not underestimate experience. You may want to turn to a professional to
install a waterfall.
